IK-48 is a droid manufactored by Aren Kalesnik. He is programmed to be a expert pilot, great marksman, and know over 7,000 forms of communication. He was built from technology that Aren gained from studying parts of HK-47. His energy core is built from technology Aren knows about the Star Gates and Temples, as well as the Chu-Gon Dar cube. Because of his core being built from knowledge like this, it is almost impossible for him to be reprogrammed, short out, run out of power, or malfunction. He looks just like HK-47, except more armor, less weapons, and he is gold, not brown.
